Puerto de La Cruz - Tenerife
Puerto de La Cruz is located on the north coast of the island of Tenerife. Not quite as well known as the tourist destinations in the south such as Las Americas and Los Cristianos, Puerto de La Cruz attracts a different type of tourism.
The north notoriously attracts more rain than the south but also boasts a more rural tourism. The coastal areas of Puerto de La Cruz have a great selection of hotels including the prestigous 5 star Hotel Botanico. Further up the coasts (in either direction) you will find many hotels, comlexes and houses dedicated to rural tourism for those looking for a different type of holiday from the beach and pub vacation.
The centre of Puerto de La Cruz has a beautiful town square that hosts the towns church which is well worth a visit.
Puerto de La Cruz is also home to the world famous Loro Parque a must visit if you are visiting Tenerife.
